On Sunday 02/03/2014 a small team of 9 Tkdpower Students travelled to Hertfordshire sports village to compete at the Ltsi Taekwondo open Chamionships.
The 1st medal of the day went to Harvey Baldwin who got Bronze in patterns 13/17yrs 5th kup to 1st kup division which was a massive division. Next up was Kirsty Embleton who was competing for the 1st time who only graded for her yellow tag 3 days before the competition also got Bronze in patterns and went on to win a very impressive Gold in the over 18s Sparring. Kirsty Embletons Mum Judy Berisha Also got Gold in lady's veteran sparring. Jack Chalinor and Jordan Bourne narrowly just missing out on medals after some very close fort contests.
In the Black belt division patterns Sarah Godden Narrowly missed out on Gold and had to settle for Silver after doing her trade mark pattern - Juche. Amy Kehoe also competed in Black belt patterns and narrowly missing out on the medals after an impressive performance after making one small wrong move in her pattern.
Then Sarah Godden took gold in Black Belt sparring with a very impressive performance and then went on to win gold in special technique.
Last up was the male veteran Black Belt sparring where Stuart Tree was competing for the first time in Ten years and took gold after beating some very good opposition and Matthew Godden having to settle for a Bronze.
