Thanet Colourbelt Grading Results
Members from Thanet and Dover took part in a colourbelt grading examination last night, at St. Paul`s Community Centre in Margate. Full Results

The examination panel included Mr. Antony Panteli VI Dan, Mr. Matthew Godden II Dan and Miss Nicola Elsworth I Dan, and the proceedings were conducted by Mr. Joseph Mitchell I Dan.

Of the ten students testing for promotion, all passed, with, incredibly, eight achieveing high level passes, including two distinction marks.

Especially outstanding performances came from blue belt promotee Amy Kehoe, who maintained her, so far, unblemished, record of distinction passes (including one double promotion).

Amy, 13, and a student at St. Georges School, Broadstairs, achieved her result after not only putting in a near faultless physical performance, which included destruction of double the usual intentity of boards that would normally be expected by a person of her young age, but she was also challenged by Mr. Panteli to answer terminology questions beyond her current syllabus, which to the delight of the audience, she was able to deal with confidently and accurately. Amy achieved two gold medals at the recent Impact UK Open Championships.

In his very first grading examination, Jake Barry, 19, from Dover, was also awarded a distinction pass and promotion to 9th Kup (Yellow tab), underpinning the very high quality tuition being provided in the youngest TKD Power™ school by Dover Instructor, Mr. Matthew Godden. Jake was thoroughly tested by the panel and came through with flying colours.

Mr. Panteli was especially keen not to diminish the other notable performaces of the evening, which included excellent overall performance by Jake Wheeler, Shane Barber, Bryn Kehoe, Jake Chamberlain, Jake Barry and Justine Harrod and Tom Spriggs who each were awarded passes at Merit level, to their respective grades.

The examination panel would like to thank Joseph Mitchell, for confidently conducting the examination, and the audience and spectators, for their well wishes and continued support.
