Instructors Gareth Avenall 4th dan, Matthew Godden 2nd dan together with John Powell 1st dan and Sarah Godden 1st dan, went to 2 seminars over the past 2 weekends conducted by Grand Master Rhee Ki Ha, acknowledged by many as the most senior taekwondoist in the world.
Gradmaster Rhee, described by General Choi Hong Hi, the founder of Taekwon-Do as `the best student of Taekwon-Do ever`, was also the first person to be promoted to `Grand Master` (9th Degree) by General Choi.
Grand Master Rhee started the seminar with a statement saying that he wants unity in Taekwondo. He told us that this was one of the Generals last wishes before he past away 10 years ago.
Then he moved on to explaining the importance of sine motion and how it makes the moves in Taekwond so effective. He also
explained how important Korean terminology is to understand and explain the movements and techniques in Taekwondo. He also told us of some fascinating and also amusing stories from the past about himself and the General.

Im am pleased to report back that based on our experiences over these last two weekends with GM Rhee, members can be confident that TKD Power™ is closely maintaining its Taekwon-Do practices and techniques in line with the teaching of General Choi, as delineated by GM Rhee.
In closing, a great time was had by all that attended and we would like to take this opportunity to thank Grand Master Rhee, and the organisors, for an excellent seminar series.
